MISSION AND OBJECTIVES OF THE TRANSLATION AND PROOFREADING TEAM
The Translation and Proofreading Team provides professional written and oral translation services as well as comprehensive proofreading and language consultation for the staff and doctoral students of Poznan University of Technology. Our goal is to ensure the highest quality of linguistic services supporting the University’s research, teaching, and promotional activities.
We offer:
Written translations of scientific, technical, legal, economic, promotional, and general texts from English and German into Polish, and from Polish into these languages.
Linguistic and substantive proofreading of scientific, technical, and teaching materials – in both Polish and foreign languages.
Language consultations providing advice on linguistic accuracy, academic style, specialist terminology, and the preparation of texts for international publication.
Oral interpreting services – simultaneous and consecutive – during conferences, seminars, academic meetings, and university events.
The team consists of experienced translators – nine specialists in English (including one sworn translator) and one specialist in German. All are university lecturers who work daily with specialist terminology across a variety of technical and humanistic disciplines.
We have extensive experience in translating texts on a wide range of topics: from scientific articles, technical publications, and official documents to promotional materials and texts in the fields of culture, art, and history. Our mission is to combine high linguistic standards with the terminological precision characteristic of the academic environment.
