The asynchronous course English for Specific Purposes (ESP), conducted by Małgorzata Bączyńska and Joanna Liskowska-Sikora, offers 15 hours of engaging content centered on cutting-edge topics in engineering and sustainable development. Participants explore innovative subjects such as smart cities, intelligent houses, sustainable building, and green energy, all while developing essential language skills. This course is ideal for students who are passionate about sustainability and technological advancements and seek to enhance their linguistic and professional competencies.
The English for Academic Purposes (EAP) course, coordinated by Poznan University of Technology (PUT) and conducted by Barbara Sawicka and Dorota Żarnowska in collaboration with the Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France (UPHF) and the University of Cantabria (UC), is a 15-hour synchronous program with asynchronous components. Tailored for PhD students, it comprises three 5-hour modules that focus on key academic communication skills, including writing compelling abstracts, conducting academic meetings, and confidently presenting and interacting at conferences. The Bridge Talk Session in English, run by Edyta Olejarczuk, is a 10-hour course comprising 4 synchronous and 6 asynchronous hours. It addresses pressing global issues such as sustainability, cultural differences, artificial intelligence, and healthy lifestyles, while fostering engaging discussions on diverse topics, for instance, motivation, conflict resolution, and job interview strategies. The Interpersonal Communication course, conducted by Liliana Szczuka-Dorna and Katarzyna Matuszak, is a 30-hour synchronous program designed to equip students with the skills to navigate interpersonal and intercultural communication in English.
